Coming into the 2020 Tucker Show, we were hard-pressed to think of a way to top last year’s team building event held at Billy Bob’s Texas in the Fort Worth Stockyards. That is until we learned that TEXPLEX Park was chosen as the host venue for our 2020 event, and right away, we knew everyone would be in for a good time.
Situated on a sprawling 1,000-acres located 45 minutes south of Fort Worth, TEXPLEX Park is a state-of-the-art facility with multiple motocross tracks, separate UTV and 4×4 courses, and offroad singletrack trails. And as we would come to find out a sort of theme park for powersports enthusiasts and the ideal place for a day of team-building.
After the short ride south from Fort Worth in the morning, the entire sales force arrived at TEXPLEX Park, divided into teams, and set to work taking on the day’s challenges in a divide and conquer type fashion. Challenges included a Strider Bike Race, Tire Change Challenge, No‐Oar Kayaking, Axe Throwing, Three-man Slingshot, Tire Bowling, Shotgun Skeet Shooting, and Closest to the Pin Golf. Midway through the day, everyone headed over to the Blaine Stone Lodge conveniently located near TEXPLEX for lunch and a short panel discussion with the Tucker leadership team.
After lunch, it was back to TEXPLEX and the second half of the team building challenge. After the eight preliminary rounds, the top four teams made their way to the Grand Finale, which was comprised of the QuadBoss Scavenger Hunt, ProTaper Handlebar Hang, and Red Bull Mini Moto Race. Needless to say, it was fun to watch as teams navigated each task by strategically choosing individual team members to compete in a challenge based upon his or her skills and likelihood of taking the win.
With the team building challenge wrapped up, everyone headed back to Blaine Stone lodge for a fantastic dinner and sales awards, as well as a general session presented by the Tucker leadership team, led by CEO Sebastian Bretschneider, COO Danny Anderson, CCO Greg Blackwell, Vice President of Sales Jason Potter, Sales Director Tom Owens, and Senior Director of Marketing Taz Sobotka.
Our 2020 team building event was once again another fun-filled day with plenty of smiles, team-building camaraderie, and laughs from everyone involved. With three days of Tucker Show to follow in the coming days, the event was the perfect precursor to getting down to business for the rest of the week. A big thanks to the staff at TEXPLEX Park for providing us with a first-class facility to host our 2020 team building event, and the Tucker 4900 team for its hard work and support. On to the 2020 Tucker Show!
