The purpose of this document is to set out the terms and conditions under which Tucker Electronics Inc., will provide all labor, parts, and materials necessary to maintain products returned to Tucker and covered under this Agreement in good operating condition.
Services Included:
- Tucker will provide the following services at Tuckers domicile. Tucker will provide all labor, parts, and materials necessary to maintain the products covered under Tucker Repair Service in good operating condition. Replacement parts may or may not be new, depending on the age and availability of the parts for the product. Repaired products will be checked to confirm proper operation. Tucker may do the following to enhance the product life of the product, including cleaning, adjusting, lubricating, inspecting, and testing, at the time of repair.
- Tucker will return the products at surface rates to the customer to locations within the country where service is provided. If expedited shipping is requested, freight will be charged to the customer.
- Service will be performed during Tuckers normal 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Should a customer desire expedited service, charges may apply.
Limitations of Service:
- Only specifically designated products are eligible for service by Tucker.
- Products operated in excess of their maximum usage rate (as designated in the data sheet or operating manual) will not be covered by Tucker and will be repaired on a time and materials basis only.
- Tucker may cover discontinued products that are beyond their specified support period on a best efforts basis.
- Services do not include repairs to products caused by use of non-OEM media, supplies, and consumables or such items not designed for use with the products serviced under this agreement. If support services are needed due to the above reasons, it will be on a time and material basis.
- Tucker is only responsible for qualified instruments under this plan. Customer acknowledges that Tucker will not be responsible for the security, protection, or safe return of information, data, software, packaging or other materials that may be provided by the customer together with the qualified devices sent to Tucker but are not subject to service under this agreement. Customer understands that it has the responsibility to remove, backup or take precautions with respect to such materials and information.
Customer Responsibilties:
- The customer is responsible for performing the following functions prior to returning the product for service:
- Perform all steps for self-test and trouble-shooting specified in the operating manual for the product.
- Provide in writing to Repair and Calibration department the model number, serial number, failure symptoms and history, and return shipping address.
- Product should be packaged in the original shipping carton or other proper packaging.
- Ship to Tucker freight prepaid and properly insured.
- Customer is responsible for maintaining a procedure external to the products for reconstruction of lost or altered files, data, or programs.
